About Sarah Patterson
I’m Sarah Patterson, an Executive Producer with a deep passion for the art and craft of advertising.
With a career spanning both the UK (where I’m from) and the US, I’ve held senior management roles across leading agencies, mentoring and guiding large teams of producers to deliver impactful, memorable work. My experience also extends to the production company side, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the creative process from concept through to execution.
Earlier in my career, I worked on large-scale global campaigns, including HSBC’s “The World’s Local Bank”, which saw me producing across New Zealand, Australia, Africa, the US, Canada, India, Asia, Europe, and Russia. That experience shaped my ability to navigate complex international productions, diverse cultures, and fast-moving, multi-market campaigns with confidence.
More recently, I’ve expanded my experience working directly brand-side at Amazon, where I produced radio campaigns and activations in collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders. I also contributed to the early development of an AI-led campaign—supporting testing, shaping the production approach, and identifying best-in-class partners for a project built around emerging AI tools.
This experience has given me a strong understanding of how to navigate the evolving landscape of AI-driven production within a brand environment—balancing innovation with practical delivery and creative integrity.
Being married to a director has further shaped my perspective, allowing me to bridge the gap between creative ambition and practical production with empathy, clarity, and respect.
I’m known for building strong relationships and bringing the right people together—whether that’s emerging talent or established collaborators. I thrive on problem-solving and enjoy the challenge of complex, multi-layered productions that require both creative sensitivity and strategic thinking.
While my foundation is in broadcast production, I’ve always been drawn to innovation and new ways of storytelling. My experience spans a wide range of formats and technologies, including live action, projection mapping, drone-based 360 filming, interactive media, live events, social campaigns, print, NFTs, and AI-driven creative and brand activations.
Recent work also includes leading two major global launches for Samsung in collaboration with Ogilvy—projects that took me from Prague to Barcelona and London, building on my extensive international experience.
In 2014, I created Tea with Sarah, an interview series featuring some of the most respected directors in film, television, and advertising. It remains a proud milestone and continues to inform how I think about storytelling and creative leadership.
More recently, I launched my podcast, Standing Out, Standing Strong—a platform dedicated to conversations with women, around creativity, resilience, and navigating today’s evolving industry. The series continues to grow, with plans to expand into video and broader editorial content.
I’ve recently relocated back to the UK and am now based on the coast, while continuing to work globally, including projects in the US where I maintain a home in California.
I’m always open to connecting with like-minded creatives, collaborators, and brands.
